From a friend of a friend :) Heaps more interesting than the Friday Fives I have missed this past month.
(Thanks to CG and RF)

1. Make up a joke that pertains to you.

Life continues to throw you curve-balls, stop trying to catch them!

2. Describe your surroundings in three sentences or less.

We've moved to Point Vernon, and it's awesome. The energy in the Air is electric, living close to a Point that is a giant rocky outcrop into the Sandy Strait. We are less than 1 kilometre from the ocean, but being higher than sea level, it's always quite windy, the air is always cool, and we've been lucky enough to get some great lightning shows already.

3. What video game could you play in the arcade (old days) all the way through it.

<3 Galaga <3

4. Which book series are your favourites (feel free to mention many series!)

A Discovery of Witches. Divergent. Wilbur Smith's Egyptian series. And at the time of release, I loved the Twilight series. Haha!

5. Best video game you ever played, more than one if it's an impossible task.

Nothing comes to mind, so I don't think I have played enough at any great skill level to be memorable. I would more correctly describe myself as a Table Top Gamer. I literally learned this term just yesterday!

Table Top Games -
games played on a flat surface, such as a board game or card game. Current faves are the Monopoly Card game, Cluedo, Texas Hold Em

1) If you think your house is haunted, what should you do?
Fortunately, I am a Warrior in Training, so bring it on ghosts... But I'm not fighting you at night :P

2) When should you investigate a strange noise in your basement?
Again, daytime! And with lights on and heavily armed Supernatural style - sawn offs, demon-killing knives, an archangel blade or two, and a Winchester

3) How do you know if an abandoned building is safe to visit?
You don't. Take your chances if you dare.

4) How do you decide whether to solve a problem as a team, or split up and go it alone?
What's your skill level and who's on your team? Are you a newbie ghostchaser or have you reached Hunter status? You got wizards and dragons on your side? Are you a Jedi?

5) Where do you store your knives and where would you look if one was missing?
Oh wow, they are everywhere, in every room in the house. And my favourite under my pillow. Enough of them that if one is missing, there are plenty more on hand.

Nicked from catness

1. Are you looking forward to advancements in artificial intelligence?

Don't really follow it that closely. It sounds exciting, but I hope they don't take over before I die (!), and I hope that AI and natural traditions merge together to create a perfectly balanced world.

2. A memory from your childhood.

First thing that comes to mind - holidays at the family beach house, swimming and exploring the beaches, the dunes, the rocky cliffs.

3. Do you enjoy public speaking?

I haven't done this for years, totally lost my marbles last time :D

4. How would you describe your spiritual life?

I haven't found that connection with God or Spirit that many speak about with great reverence, but I love connecting with nature. My favourite way to connect lately is laying on the grass losing myself in the clouds drifting over the bright blue sky as the sun rises... till the freakn ants drive me nuts!

5. If you could take any animal from the zoo home as a pet, which would you choose?

I'd rather the eagles took me home with them!

6. 5 things you enjoy doing.

Skygazing, walking on the beach before sunset, singing, learning, conversations with clever people.

7. What is the most important part of being a good friend?

Being there when they reach out.

8. Do you consider yourself artistic?

More creative than artistic. I can write better than I can paint/draw/sculpt.

9. Would you rather spend time relaxing by yourself or with a group of friends?

I love my own company, but I also enjoy talking to interesting people who are willing to share their stories and their opinions and values.

10. What is the best thing to pair with peanut butter?

Skip the peanut butter and break out the Pana Organic Hazelnut Chocolate Spread. Wow!

11. Have you ever been to a surprise party?

Not for 15 years. I guess they are not a thing in my circles of family and friends.

12. Have you ever gotten lost?

Yes, just a couple months ago. Stupid Google didn't work!

13. Do you believe in horoscopes?

LOL, no! Like, seriously? You pull up three "today's horoscope for Gemini" on any given day, and you will get THREE predictions :P

14. Do you regret anything? Can you change it?

Yes. Yes Yes Yes. Only way I can think to change it is find a time machine. I'd go back in a heartbeat, with or without what I know now, just give me another shot.

15. Have you ever taken a personality test?

Yes, love them. And if I don't get a result I like, I take that damned test again till it says what I want it to say... and what I want it to say changes any day of the week.

16. Who is the most trustworthy person you know?

My partner.

17. What makes you laugh?

Clever comedy. Not the stupid stuff.

18. Do you have a good memory?

No, leave the past in the past, live for today, tomorrow will take care of itself.

19. What is the most interesting book you ever read?

Wilbur Smith's River God (1993). The only other book that has come close is Deborah Harkness's A Discovery of Witches (2011).

20. Have you ever gone to summer camp?

No, my family was too poor.

21. Which of your friends are you the most like?

My cousin, we have a lot of the same values.

22. Who is the funniest person in your family?

Me. Hahaha!

23. Would you rather fly to space or swim to the bottom of the ocean?

Fly <3

24. If you could visit any planet, which would you go to?

A new Earth without all the technology and industry and crappy world govts. And a population under 1 million.

25. The worst feeling you have experienced?

Nearly losing my partner - three times now.

26. Write about something you believed as a small child that turned out to be wrong. How did you find out?

Can't think of anything.

27. What is your favorite TV show?

Stargate Atlantis is the first that comes to mind.

28. If you could have been someone in history, who would you have been?

Oh, please let me be a master painter. That would be awesome.

29. What 5 material things would I want if I was stranded on a desert island?

My partner, a timber cabin, a boat, fishing gear, and a lifetime supply of pens and paper.

30. What is your favorite hot drink?

Coffee.

31. Do you dress up for Halloween?

Not here in Aus, mate, that's a US tradition that just won't take, thankfully!

Painful drivel.
A stellar cast of some of my favourite actors - Ryan Gosling, Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman & Cate Blanchett, but this movie goes nowhere even mildly interesting. I couldn't watch it all the way through - I stopped it 35min before the end, and read the plot, etc on wikipedia. The wiki info indicates I made the right decision claiming back the 30min I would have wasted of my life to see this trash through to the end.

1) What was the best part of your Beltane this year?
The whole night, sunset to sunrise.
Spring is in full swing by 31 October in the SH. It's been a dry year, though, with no rain forever, so the couple weeks beforehand, I laboured carrying buckets of water from washing clothes, the sink and baths out to my favourite corner of the yard and the garden . Hard work but so worth it. I was able to create a green oasis, a sacred space outdoors in the dry dusty landscape that surrounds my home. I dug a small fire pit into the lawn. I collected herbs and flowers from my garden and borrowed a few blooms from neighbouring gardens and placed them in and around the fire. Crystals, tools, a jug of my favourite cocktail, some pineapple carrot cake on hand, I lit my small fire an hour before sunset and meditated on the blessing that is my amazing life. Fortunate, too, that it was a Full Moon. A powerful meditation, for sure, and the energy empowered me till the next Full Moon. A friend joined me at a prearranged time later in the night and we stayed up in our private world of green till dawn, stoking the fire to cook a hearty breakfast as the sun rose. These outdoor ritual nights are always the best nights of my year.

2) What is your best Beltane memory of all time?
Nine years after I first met and fell instantly in love with my friend, we became a couple and he joined me for the first time for Beltane. It was a communal gathering held on the outer edges of a nearby national park, a wild patch of rainforest in the mountains, close to where the riverr bursts forth deep from within our Mother. He was wary, nervous, but it was the best night of our lives, it confirmed our past life connections and forged in stone our present and future lives. We shared the night with 11 others, and yet I cannot remember connecting or celebrating with anyone else that night.

3) What are the three things that you enjoy the most about the Beltane season?
Outdoor ritual, the fruits, herbs and vegetables of the season, and the second outdoor connection with friends after the winter months, the first being the Spring Equinox.

4) What is your favorite Beltane memory?
The night described in Q2 is the best night, but my next favourite would be my first Beltane celebration at 18. I was single, it was a wild night.

5) If you could travel anywhere to experience Beltane, where would you go and why?
Stonehenge. I tend to celebrate the seasons in an eclectic way, but there is an undeniable link within me to the ways of the Celts and Druids.

1) What kinds of gifts will you give this holiday season?
Organic, natural, handmade, Australian

2) What are the best types of presents to give?
Chocolates, wine, handmade crafts, art, CRYSTALS <3

3) Have you ever given someone a gift as a surprise? Why did you give the gift?
Oh, I much prefer surprise gifts rather than birthday, anniversary, holiday gifts. Surprise gifts are the best! And heaps more sensible, too. If I see something and think - wow, that's perfect for you, I'm getting it and I sure as hell ain't waiting for an "occasion" to give it to you.

4) Have you ever received a gift that you didn’t like? How did you respond?
ROFL, more often than not. I try hard to hide it, but it's getting harder. Because the crazy thing is I am the easiest person, imho, to find gifts for, just get me a crystal, a painting, drawing or sculpted wood or clay, and I'm loving you forever. And I’ll still love you just because you love me enough to give me a gift, no matter what it is ❤️

5) Would you rather give someone a gift or receive a gift? Why?
Both. Receiving - it's always lovely that someone thinks enough of you to get you a gift. Giving - it's magnificent when you nail it, when you find just the right gift and your loved one's eyes light up all the way from their heart... that's the best feeling <3

4) What is the wildest weather in your Summer season?
Cyclones. Not enough of them lately, too much drought, too much fire

5) What is the best way to stay cool in Summer?
